In Zoetermeer, 11-year-old Jelle started a petition for a new skatepark in his neighborhood of Oosterheem. After collecting 500 signatures, the plan was set in motion. Together with the users, Atelier OUI designed a new skatepark in a windy location. To address this, the skatepark is partially sheltered, nestled intimately among newly created hills and green landscapes. The result is a simple design that maximizes a small budget. There is a spatial connection to the sports facility across the bike path. Additionally, yellow concrete has been used as an accent color, and new furniture, push-button lighting, and a chess table contribute to making it a truly social park. Thanks to Jelle!
