In the city of Hoorn we are designing a new skatepark of roughly 1.300 square meters. The experience of skating goes hand in hand with the nearness of nature. The meandering shape of the park closely borders the trees, but there are also multiple spots for trees integrated in the park itself. There are various obstacles, such as a pyramid, a bowl, railings and a staircase. The park consists of several zones so different users (skaters, bmx-bikers, scooters and inline skaters) can exercise next to each other. There are staircases on which people can sit and enjoy watching the greenery, as well as a graffiti wall at the entrance. With the accent color red, a reference is made to the logo of the municipality of Hoorn. Two colors of concrete are used (concrete gray and beige).

For this project we won a tender in early 2024, in collaboration with Griekspoor, Sterling Projects and Bureau Lubbers.
